Breast Cancer Survivors
“Race Day is the best day of the year. People from every walk of life come together in one accord for one agenda - to find a cure, raise awareness and work together for the same cause.”
- Diane Mathis, 2008 Survivor of the Year
RACE DAY 2008
June 7, 2008 was steamy but the mood in the Survivor Tent was buoyant. Survivors and their Co-survivor guests fortified themselves with treats from the Sunrise Breakfast, enjoying fresh baked goods from local bakers. Survivors were treated to manicures, makeovers and hand scrubs. The tent was a sanctuary from the heat but more important it was a place for survivors celebrate life.
